This wall art was very spontaneously created with the trust from the home owner. I mapped out the compostition of each leaf first and then using a variety of sample pots of wall paints I worked in the colour and dimension.
To date this is the largest painting and scale I have worked on and found it very freeing and thoroughly enjoyable.

Oil Paintings
Oil paints are very much a new medium to me, however my first attempt was a surprising success. It has become a medium I am keen to create more with.
All the paintings below were created using Winsor & Newton, Artist's Oil Colour, Introductory Set.
Affirmation Illustrations
I began my illustration journey in late 2021 as I noted various quotes and phrases that inspired or resonated with me in my everyday life.
Starting with drawing in sketchbooks, I developed a style and a typography that flowed through each individual illustration. I then began to develop the illustrations through experimenting with varying colour palettes and paints. The materials used at this stage were watercolour and acrylic paints.
All the illustrations displayed below began as rough, vague drawings in sketchbooks and came to fruition when created on A4 Mixed Media paper, using Crawford & Black Watercolour paints and Schneider Acrylic Markers.
Life Drawings
In November 2022 I started attending local Life Drawing sessions with HOP
This is something I had previous experience of when studying at University, so when the opportunity came around again I was very keen to get stuck in. A bit nervous at first, I soon remembered everything I had once learnt and am finding that from each session a specific style is starting to show and develop throughout my studies.
These sessions have become the perfect time for me to truly just enjoy the experience of creating and experimenting in ways I wouldn't usually consider for my work.
